Celebrating our Christchurch Kaimahi

As 2024 draws to a close, our Ōtautahi kaimahi came together to celebrate a year of hard work, resilience, and remarkable achievements. This year, we hosted the Switched On Soiree, a gala-style evening at The Kind Foundation (Rebranded YMCA), transforming it into a night to remember.

The event was a perfect blend of elegance and camaraderie in a beautiful venue that looked out over the historical Arts Centre. Our team were treated to some delicious food prepared by local Māori-owned business Kai Connoisseurs, and sweet treats prepared by our People & Culture Administrator Kirsti Fenske-Buikema.

Reflecting on the year's successes and sharing joyous moments with our colleagues is a cornerstone of our culture at Kā te Rama Switched On Group with one of the highlights of the evening was the annual awards ceremony. Each year, our team members nominate their peers for awards that epitomise our core values. Recognising and celebrating these champions in front of their colleagues is a tradition that fosters pride and unity within our organisation.

The night was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and a sense of community that makes our Switched On whānau such a special place to work. It’s these moments that remind us of the importance of our shared journey and the bright future ahead.
